Human Rigths and Social Compliance Policy

Our Purpose

As Karbosan Zımpara Taşı Sanayi A.Ş., we conduct all our activities in accordance with the principles of respect for human rights, ethical values, fair working conditions and sustainability.
We are committed to providing a reliable, fair, respectful and inclusive working environment for our employees, suppliers, customers and all stakeholders by complying with applicable national legislation, international conventions to which we are a party, the Fundamental Conventions of the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of the United Nations.

Our Commitments

Respect for Human Rights

We respect fundamental human rights in all our activities and support their protection.
We do not tolerate discrimination on the basis of race, colour, gender, age, language, religion, sect, ethnic origin, nationality, disability, marital status, pregnancy, political opinion, trade union membership, sexual orientation or any other status or characteristic.
We establish and continuously improve effective, transparent and accessible reporting mechanisms to prevent, identify and remedy human rights violations.

Fair and Legal Working Conditions

We ensure that working hours, overtime practices, remuneration and all employment-related rights are implemented in accordance with applicable legal requirements and are regularly monitored.
We safeguard our employees' rights to:

  • Receive fair and lawful remuneration; 
  • Receive full payment for overtime work; 
  • Benefit from social security rights; 
  • Use annual leave and other statutory entitlements. 

Freedom of Association and Collective Bargaining

We respect our employees' rights to establish or join trade unions, withdraw from trade unions and participate in collective bargaining processes.
No employee shall be subject to pressure, discrimination, retaliation or adverse treatment for exercising these rights.

Prevention of Forced Labour

We have zero tolerance for forced labour, bonded labour, human trafficking, prison labour or any form of work that is not freely chosen. All employment relationships are based on the principle of free and voluntary participation.
We do not confiscate or retain employees' identity documents, passports or personal documents.
Employees have the right to terminate their employment relationship voluntarily, subject to applicable legal requirements and contractual obligations.

Protection of Children and Young Workers

We maintain a zero-tolerance approach to child labour.
We do not employ children below the minimum working age established by applicable national legislation or persons under the age of 15.
Workers under the age of 18 shall not be assigned to hazardous, heavy or otherwise harmful work that may adversely affect their health, safety or development.
Working hours and duties of young workers shall be planned and managed in accordance with applicable legislation.

Elimination of Discrimination, Equal Opportunities and Fair Recruitment

We adopt the principle of equal opportunity in recruitment, placement, career development, training, remuneration and promotion processes. No person who makes a good-faith report or complaint, or who contributes to an investigation, shall be subjected to retaliation, discrimination, pressure, threats or any other adverse treatment.
We adopt a zero-tolerance approach to retaliation.
